Sinopep disclosure separates peptide design capacity from historical production
Sinopep disclosed manufacturing and utilization figures for its existing peptide API workshops 601 and 602 in Lianyungang, China, in a July 10 exchange-inquiry response. The disclosure describes an existing project, not a July capacity addition.
A table framed as the position at year-end 2025 assigns 4.5 tonnes of design capacity to Workshop 601 and 1.3 tonnes to Workshop 602. Reported production comprises 113 kg of semaglutide, 97 kg of tirzepatide, 61 kg of liraglutide and 1 kg of difelikefalin acetate—a combined 272 kg. The company reports 4.7% utilization, although the exact measurement period and calculation denominator remain unresolved.
Earlier project documentation specifies annual product capacities totaling 5,779 kg across the two workshops. That is numerically consistent with the rounded July figure, but Sinopep has not explicitly confirmed their equivalence. Separate 2025 disclosures described Workshop 601 alone as capable of more than 5 tonnes annually for a single product, and subsequently as having 5 tonnes/year capacity. The different figures remain unreconciled.
The July filing also reports 57 kg of tirzepatide and 2 kg of semaglutide in orders on hand, separately from production. Workshop 601 has reserved 4 tonnes/year for an unnamed overseas innovator’s Phase II GLP-1 peptide, with production expected from late 2028 subject to development and registration progress. That reservation is a prospective commitment, not demonstrated output or evidence of unrestricted merchant availability.
