Asymchem expects higher peptide capacity utilization in 2027

October 24, 2026 · TideMetrix Brief
TideMetrix TakeAsymchem expects stronger utilization of its peptide manufacturing capacity in 2027, with qualification-stage deliveries concentrated in late 2026. The outlook suggests growing activity across its existing production platform, although further expansion remains dependent on orders.

Asymchem expects its existing peptide manufacturing capacity to reach relatively high utilization in 2027, according to an October 23 investor-relations disclosure.

The Chinese CDMO also said deliveries for peptide process performance qualification (PPQ) projects are concentrated in the fourth quarter of 2026. PPQ is a key step in demonstrating that a manufacturing process can consistently produce material meeting specified quality requirements ahead of commercial production.

The timing provides an indication of qualification-related manufacturing activity, although it does not establish that the projects have completed qualification or secured subsequent commercial orders.

Asymchem said it would plan additional peptide manufacturing capacity based on its order book and business development, with further details expected in future annual reports. The company did not disclose a utilization percentage, additional capacity volume or expansion timetable.

The update builds on Asymchem's previously announced peptide manufacturing investments, providing a forward-looking indication of how its existing capacity could be used as customer projects advance.
