DuPont launches C8 and C18 silica media for peptide purification

October 23, 2026 · TideMetrix Brief
TideMetrix TakeDuPont is expanding its peptide-purification portfolio with new C8 and C18 chromatography media, giving manufacturers additional options for downstream processing as GLP-1 production scales.

DuPont has launched AmberChrom SIL, a silica-based reverse-phase chromatography medium designed for peptide purification, including GLP-1 therapeutics.

Announced on October 22, the product is available in C8 and C18 chemistries for separating impurities from peptide mixtures and final polishing. DuPont says the media can be used at multiple purification stages, either independently or alongside its existing polymeric chromatography products.

The launch expands DuPont's offering of materials used in downstream peptide API manufacturing. Unlike solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) resins, which support the assembly of peptide chains, chromatography media are used to separate and purify peptides after synthesis.

DuPont reports promising purity, yield and stability results from application studies, although independent comparative performance data were not provided in the announcement. The company did not disclose manufacturing capacity, customer adoption or pricing for the new products.
