Neuland reports first peptide module operational as second phase takes shape

September 15, 2026 · TideMetrix Brief
TideMetrix TakeNeuland’s 7,000 L peptide module is now operational, while a proposed second module of up to 18,000 L remains dependent on customer-defined requirements.

Neuland Laboratories said Module One at its commercial peptide facility had commenced operations, with 750 L of solid-phase peptide synthesis reactor capacity and 6,250 L of liquid-phase capacity.

The company describes capability ranging from small-scale to multikilogram quantities of complete peptide APIs, alongside commercial-scale crude-peptide production. Separate SPPS and LPPS suites allow parallel operation. These are capability statements, rather than disclosed production volumes.

The latest 7,000 L specification differs from the 6,370 L reported in March for the same module. The difference has not been reconciled and should not be treated as a separate capacity addition.

Module Two is proposed at up to 18,000 L. Its outlined configuration includes three 5,000 L LPPS reactors, either a 1,000 L or 2,000 L SPPS reactor, and smaller reactors.

Neuland said foundational infrastructure was already in place, while configuration, instrumentation and capacity were being defined with the customer expected to anchor the expansion. Work could begin earlier than originally planned once requirements were finalized.

No Module Two startup date was disclosed. The reactor volumes describe equipment capacity, not annual API output; neither the operational announcement nor the expansion plan establishes utilization or shipment quantities.
