Hanyu Wuhan reports linaclotide API registration approval

Hanyu Pharmaceutical announced on June 23 that its wholly owned Wuhan subsidiary had received Chinese regulatory approval for its linaclotide API marketing application. The company reported receipt of the National Medical Products Administration notice on June 21.

Announcement 2026-033 identifies Hanyu Pharmaceutical (Wuhan) as the manufacturer and states that registration was approved for domestic production. The approved quality standard, labels and manufacturing process are governed by attachments to the notice, which were not reproduced in the announcement.

The disclosed identifier, YBY66902026, is the registration-standard number, not an approval number. Registered packaging comprises 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 g per bag. These are packaging specifications, not evidence of batch size, shipments or manufacturing capacity.

Under the applicable Chinese framework, the notice records API marketing-application approval following regulatory review. It is more than acknowledgment of an application, but does not itself demonstrate that customers have qualified the material or that commercial shipments have begun.

The filing does not specify the manufacturing route. Its classification as a chemical API cannot be read as confirmation of chemical synthesis. It also provides no production volumes, named customers or sales figures. While the manufacturer is identified, the approved production address and workshop scope were not independently verified from the underlying notice.
