Amylyx secures Bachem agreement and outlines PolyPeptide avexitide reservation
Amylyx disclosed a signed manufacturing and supply agreement with Bachem Americas dated September 8 and a September 1 term sheet with PolyPeptide. Both concern long-term avexitide drug-substance supply for commercial use, if approved.
Bachem’s agreement requires minimum annual purchases from 2028 and partly binding forecasts. It has an initial five-year term with automatic three-year renewals, annual cost-related price adjustments, and maintenance fees and expenses.
The PolyPeptide arrangement requires a definitive manufacturing agreement still to be negotiated. Its term sheet provides for a $30 million upfront capacity-reservation fee; the filing does not confirm payment. Minimum purchases from 2028, partly binding forecasts and annually adjustable volume-based pricing are contemplated subject to execution of that agreement.
Both suppliers are non-exclusive. Amylyx may procure from other manufacturers, but discloses neither quantities nor allocations between suppliers.
The filing identifies drug substance, not finished-dose manufacturing. Sites, production routes and clinical-supply roles are undisclosed. The reservation establishes prospective supply access, not a physical capacity addition or confirmation that two qualified commercial sources are operating.
