Highfine targets late-2026 to early-2027 trials at Huai’an
Suzhou Highfine Biotech expects the first five workshops at its Huai’an project to begin trial production between the fourth quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027, subject to construction progress.
The company’s interim report describes equipment installation during the first half of 2026. Trial production remains planned; the report does not announce that trials have begun or that commercial manufacturing is underway.
The guidance is later and more precise than the company’s April expectation of successive trial starts during the second half of 2026. Because the windows overlap, it does not establish a confirmed delay across all five workshops.
The project’s previously disclosed design totals 5,130 tonnes/year across ten workshops. Alongside protected amino acids and coupling reagents, it includes 800 tonnes/year of protection reagents and other synthesis-related materials. These are components of the total, not additional projects.
Highfine has not mapped the first five workshops to individual products or disclosed their combined capacity. The August update therefore clarifies the intended sequence toward manufacturing without changing the previously stated project tonnage.
Trial production is also distinct from routine commercial production and full utilization. The report provides no timetable for completing trials, qualifying saleable output or bringing each material category into regular supply.
