# Hanyu Wuhan reports approval for chemically synthesized liraglutide API

Hanyu Pharmaceutical said its wholly owned Wuhan subsidiary had received Chinese registration approval for liraglutide API submitted through a chemical-synthesis route.

The July 7 announcement identifies Hanyu Pharmaceutical (Wuhan) as the manufacturer and reports receipt of an NMPA Chemical API Marketing Application Approval Notice for domestic production. The disclosed conclusion approves the registration application, with the manufacturing process, quality standard and packaging labels governed by attachments to the notice.

The filing lists **YBY66522026 as the registration-standard number**, not the approval-notice number. Registered packaging comprises 1, 5, 10, 15 and 50 g per bag. Those quantities describe individual packages, not production batches, shipment volumes or manufacturing capacity.

Chemical synthesis is explicitly identified in the announcement, although the company does not specify a solid-phase or liquid-phase configuration. It discloses no production volumes, named API customers or shipments and cautions that future sales may fall short of expectations.

The publicly reproduced notice does not include the attachments needed to verify the precise approved manufacturing address and workshop. The milestone therefore establishes company-reported API registration approval; it does not establish routine commercial production or customer acceptance. It is also separate from Hanyu’s finished-dose liraglutide injection approval.
